What has changed most about the world since the pandemic began?

I think we have become acclimated to these numbers -<strong> somewhere we lost tract that these are real people, families torn apart.</strong> Over half a million of these deaths have occurred in the United States - the richest, most powerful nation on the planet. What does this mean?
