I'm turning 60 in a few weeks and want to have a party. I am planning a party. We live in a heavily vaxxed area. It will be outside. But I'm still struggling with the ethical/moral dimension. It feel frivolous to do this while so many people are still getting sick and suffering from the pandemic. On the other hand I want to supply a night of good cheer and fun for my friends. It's been such a hard, shitty, 20 months. Can we not just let our hair down for one night now?
