This week we completely reassessed our childcare plans for the fall. We had FINALLY felt ready to send our daughter to day care. She is 20 months old, but with high vaccination rates and low transmission rates in the state and county, we were feeling optimistic. Now DELTA is in full swing, children are getting sick and I just can't bring myself to send her, knowing she could very likely get sick and it would be because we knowingly put her into a situation where she would be exposed. We are now scrambling, 3 weeks before the school year is set to begin, to find someone to watch her. People responding to our job ads are unvaccinated and overall I just don't feel safe allowing into our home exposing our child. And so,
