The pandemic changed the world in many ways, In the case of our family ,<strong> The pandemic made possible for the first time ever to have family parties where all members living in very different countries, were able to attend.</strong> <strong> We couldn't accomplish that not even for our wedding, but thanks to zoom the internet and the millennials …we kept a regular year of family parties</strong> that were very enjoyable during 2020. <strong> We stopped them during 2021, but I heard yesterday from a niece that she missed those parties enormously.</strong> During the parties we talked about -the<strong> family tree</strong> I had been working on for years and years -my son<strong> cooked</strong> live a Coq au vin in DC and Marisol in Bogota followed the recipe and both displayed their creations - we <strong> sang happy birthday</strong> in many different languages -we also celebrated the master’s <strong>graduation</strong> of our daughter - we also had a<strong> Christmas party</strong>- son prepared live-Mulled wine-I had bought cakes that I sent to several of the cousins in Colombia and in the USA and we toasted and eat them “together” - that was part of a<strong> Novena</strong> which is a traditional party of praying singing and traditional food eating
