<strong> Got my Covid booster shot on Friday. Mild headache and body aches for the next four days but worth it completely.</strong> Another week and I am considered fully vaccinated though there is some talk of a another booster in the fall but those vaccines should really go to countries with much lower vaccination rates.<strong> Canada is sitting at about 80% of the available population with first shots, almost 40% have their boosters. Good numbers</strong> and right now the current numbers of positive cases is pretty low.<strong> For comparison the UK has 27x our new case numbers but their population is only roughly twice ours.</strong> <strong> Oh and the Olympics will be spectator free since Tokyo is now under a state of emergency through the games</strong>…both professional sports and this whole Olympics issue have gotten way too good a ride through the pandemic. Sports as a form of exercise is great, allowing pro sports to carry on the way it has and the fucking IOC<strong> insisting the games go on is one of the things I truly truly hate about society as a whole right now.so much money and energy focused on sports when our healthcare systems and students stuck at home,etc etc, suffered.</strong> Fucking disgrace!!
